Twisted Sister has officially cancelled all performances planned as part of their 50th Anniversary celebrations. The announcement confirms that every scheduled show — beginning on April 25 in São Paulo, Brazil, and continuing throughout the summer — has been called off.

According to the official statement, the cancellation follows the sudden and unexpected resignation of frontman Dee Snider, brought on by a series of health challenges. As a result, the band states that they are unable to move forward with the anniversary performances as planned.

Notably, the communication regarding the cancellation has been signed only by guitarist Jay Jay French and guitarist Eddie Ojeda, with no direct statement or signature included from the other members of the band. This detail has not gone unnoticed by fans, particularly given the weight of the decision and the historic nature of the anniversary being celebrated.

The statement adds that the future of Twisted Sister will be determined in the coming weeks, suggesting that discussions regarding the band’s long-term status are still ongoing. No further details have been provided at this stage.

Twisted Sister originally disbanded in 2016 following a farewell tour, making the announcement of 50th Anniversary performances a significant moment for fans worldwide. The sudden cancellation, combined with the limited signatories on the official statement, leaves several open questions about what comes next for the legendary band.

Fans are advised to stay tuned for further updates as more information becomes available.
