With exactly one week to go until Ghost return to the big screen, the band have given fans another taste of what awaits inside 2 BIG TO RIG — and this time, it’s a full performance of “Umbra”.
Released today, August 19, the new clip captures Papa V Perpetua and the Nameless Ghouls performing in front of a packed Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, complete with all the cowbell, swagger and theatrical excess you would expect from the SKELETOUR.
There was actually a brief false start for the release. Ghost originally uploaded the “Umbra” performance on Thursday, only for the video to disappear around two hours later. No official explanation was given, although fans were quick to point towards the sound, mix and overall audio presentation as a possible reason for its removal. “Umbra” was uploaded again today and, whatever happened behind the scenes, the difference is noticeable — the new version sounds absolutely immaculate, finally giving the film’s spectacular 16mm visuals a soundtrack to match.
Shot on 16mm film across Ghost’s two sold-out Mexico City shows in September 2025, 2 BIG TO RIG is very much about the live ritual. Unlike Rite Here Rite Now, the new film focuses on the concert experience itself, while also taking fans behind the curtain to meet some of the crew responsible for making a production of this scale happen every night.

And now there are only five days left to wait.
2 BIG TO RIG hits cinemas worldwide from Wednesday, August 26 for a limited time, with IMAX screenings available in selected locations.
Tickets and local showtimes are available now from the official 2 BIG TO RIG website:
Watch “Umbra” and consider this your final warning: the ritual is almost upon us.
