Europe Unleash Title Track ‘Come This Madness’ Ahead of New Album
Europe have released the title track from their forthcoming studio album, Come This Madness, which arrives this Friday, 25 September, via Silver Lining Music.
Built around sharp metallic riffs, restrained verses and a suitably enormous chorus, ‘Come This Madness’ shifts confidently between quieter, atmospheric passages and the kind of soaring melodies and guitar work that have defined Europe for decades.
“With Come This Madness, we wanted to write and produce songs in the spirit of the old days,” explains Joey Tempest. “There are plenty of soaring melodies and big choruses, and we worked hard on the production.”
The accompanying video takes fans behind the scenes of the band’s current album campaign, combining footage from the road, live performances and quieter moments between shows.
The new album also includes the previously released singles ‘One on One’, ‘The Cult of Ignorance’ and ‘Scandinavian Eyes’. It will be followed by Europe’s extensive The Final Countdown 40th Anniversary Tour, beginning in Glasgow on 30 September before visiting Wolverhampton and London, with several European dates already sold out.
Our full review of Come This Madness will be published tomorrow, ahead of the album’s release on Friday.
