THE NIGHT ETERNAL Release 'Caught In A Spell' Ahead Of European Tour With Messa

Germany's rising force in melancholic heavy metal, THE NIGHT ETERNAL, have released 'Caught In A Spell', the latest single taken from their upcoming album Cold Velvet, due out on August 21 via Metal Blade Records.

Built around a hypnotic groove, soaring twin guitars and a huge sing-along chorus, 'Caught In A Spell' perfectly captures the band's unique blend of classic heavy metal, dark rock and gothic atmosphere. The accompanying video, directed by Robert Piel, follows a Harley-Davidson-riding knight on a cinematic road-trip, reinforcing the song's themes of endless highways, wanderlust and the pull of the unknown.

Following the critical acclaim of Moonlit Cross (2021) and especially Fatale (2023), Cold Velvet looks set to be the band's biggest statement yet. Early praise has already come from some of Germany's most respected names, including Mille Petrozza (Kreator), Johanna Sadonis (Lucifer), Maik Weichert (Heaven Shall Burn) and S. Castevet (Vulture), all highlighting the band's songwriting and the outstanding vocal performance of frontman Ricardo Baum.

Following the album's release, THE NIGHT ETERNAL will head out on a European tour supporting Italian heavy rock visionaries Messa. It's a particularly exciting pairing, with Messa's latest studio album widely regarded as one of the standout releases of last year. The two bands also now share a home at Metal Blade Records, making this one of the most promising tours for fans of dark, atmospheric heavy music this autumn.
