Sabaton Join Forces with Pop Evil’s Leigh Kakaty for New Version of ‘Templars’

Sabaton have given ‘Templars’ a new lease of life, recruiting Pop Evil frontman Leigh Kakaty for a fresh version of the track. Originally released last year to introduce the Swedish band’s eleventh studio album, Legends, the song now brings the two acts together ahead of their North American tour.

“‘Templars’ was a hit with our fans when we dropped it last year,” says Sabaton vocalist Joakim Brodén. “Having a fantastic vocalist and musicians put their own stamp on the track adds a whole new layer and gives the song a fresh energy that we’re really excited for everyone to hear.”

Brodén says the collaboration also offers a taste of what is to come when Sabaton and Pop Evil hit the road together in the US.

Sabaton will return to this side of the Atlantic next spring, with shows at Dublin’s 3Arena on 7 April 2027, Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on 9 April and Birmingham’s bp pulse LIVE on 10 April.
