ELEINE have released “Liars Linger”, a new single and visualizer from their upcoming fifth studio album, The Water Taste Of Blood, due on 4 December via Algoth Records. With their European headline tour now underway and six UK shows coming next week, the Swedish band are taking the road to the new record through some suitably dark territory.

Following “Watch As We Rise”, the latest single turns its attention to broken trust: the kind of betrayal that hurts precisely because it comes from someone you thought you could depend on. Its central message is about finding a way forward without allowing that experience to dictate every relationship that follows.

Vocalist Madeleine Liljestam and guitarist/vocalist Rikard Ekberg describe a song that channels the pain of deception into the strength needed to reclaim your freedom. Rather than retreating into fear, “Liars Linger” encourages listeners to face what has happened and rise through the damage.

The pair also single out its chorus as one of the strongest on the forthcoming album, describing the song as “heartbreaking yet uplifting, heavy but fragile”. That tension sits at the centre of the track’s story: feeling the weight of what happened while refusing to stay buried beneath it.

The accompanying visualizer is available now.

London and Southampton lead the UK run

ELEINE’s biggest headline tour to date began in Hamburg on 8 October, with more than 30 shows across Europe and the UK. For British fans, the next stretch starts at The Underworld in London on 13 October, followed by The Brook in Southampton on 14 October.

The six-date UK run then heads to Manchester, Glasgow, Nottingham and Birmingham:

  • 13 October — London, The Underworld

  • 14 October — Southampton, The Brook

  • 15 October — Manchester, Rebellion

  • 16 October — Glasgow, Slay

  • 17 October — Nottingham, SaltBox

  • 18 October — Birmingham, O2 Institute

With the album still several weeks away, these shows offer an early opportunity to catch the band as this next chapter takes shape. Their previous European headline run sold out multiple dates, adding some momentum to their most extensive outing yet. Tickets available here.

The Water Taste Of Blood arrives in December

Set for release on 4 December 2026 via Algoth Records, The Water Taste Of Blood is ELEINE’s fifth studio album and features 12 tracks. The band are presenting it as their heaviest release yet, bringing thrash-edged riffs and 1990s groove-metal influences into their sound.

Its themes extend the emotional territory of “Liars Linger” across the wider record: betrayal, lies and loneliness, alongside the determination to confront those experiences and find strength in standing together. Both “Watch As We Rise” and “Liars Linger” appear on the album, which is available to pre-order now.
