Electric Callboy are one of those rare bands with a personality so distinctive that you know exactly who you're listening to within seconds. They prove that musical extremes don't just coexist – they blend together naturally, and, just to make things even more entertaining, they wrap it all in a healthy dose of humour.

Their formula sounds simple on paper but is incredibly difficult to pull off. Catchy choruses, crushing metal riffs, melodic passages, clean vocals, gutturals and huge electronic hooks all come together to create a sound that is unmistakably Electric Callboy. The result is a live show that feels more like a party than a concert, with enough energy and adrenaline to keep winning over new fans wherever they go.

Still riding the momentum from their latest European tour, the German outfit now return with TANZNEID, a record that brings together some of the band's strongest anthems while continuing to explore the unmistakable contrasts that have become their trademark.

The album's release will be celebrated in style at Escalation Fest 2026, where Electric Callboy will perform the new record live for the very first time. The event will also feature an Electric Bassboy DJ set with brand-new remixes and plenty of surprises, making it a must for the band's fans.

Their 2022 breakthrough, TEKKNO, firmly established the band's winning formula, and the singles released ahead of TANZNEID have already proven themselves on stages and festival fields around the world.

So, tracksuit on... let's hit play.

The album opens with its title track, a huge party anthem that already feels like a future live staple. In fact, the band have been using it to open their current tour, and it's proving to be a brilliant choice. Next comes the now familiar collaboration with BABYMETAL, where the Japanese trio handle the melodic side while Electric Callboy unleash the brutal vocals that have become one of their trademarks.

The third track, "Hypercharged", delivers relentless energy wrapped in a nostalgic '90s atmosphere, and it's another song that's already going down brilliantly live. "Let The Good Times Roll", featuring The Offspring, blends punk and hardcore with effortless chemistry, while "Elevator Operator" combines funky grooves, samba rhythms and even lift sound effects before exploding into massive breakdowns. For me, it's one of the standout tracks on the album.

Track six, "Heartclub", is easily the heaviest song on the record and could become another future fan favourite. "The Way You Are", released with its own music video ahead of the album, begins like a polished boy band anthem before suddenly transforming into a devastating deathcore assault. Definitely one worth checking out.

"The Savior" opens with a classic '80s heavy metal feel before quickly shifting into the EDM-driven sound that Electric Callboy fans know and love. "Revery", another track released before the album, explores darker musical territory while still fitting naturally into the band's colourful identity.

The final section of the album is dedicated to remixes. Sullivan King gives "We Got The Moves" a fresh dubstep and metalcore twist, while Paolo Ferrara transforms "TANZNEID" into a full-on nightclub anthem. Paul Elstak's version of "Hypercharged" feels tailor-made for the biggest electronic festivals, and Sullivan King returns to close the record with a darker remix of "Revery", enhancing its atmosphere with his signature dubstep sound.

Although many of these songs will already be familiar to fans, TANZNEID feels like an important release for Electric Callboy. It reinforces everything that has made the band so successful while showing that they still know how to surprise their audience without losing their identity.
