Blind Channel head “Into The Void” with Of Mice & Men’s Aaron Pauley

The Finnish band look to the stars on the final single ahead of Painstream, due on 30 October via Century Media Records.

Blind Channel have released “Into The Void”, featuring Of Mice & Men’s Aaron Pauley. It is the final standalone single ahead of their forthcoming album, Painstream, and its big question comes with some uncomfortable implications: what if we really are alone in the universe?
There is plenty of space in that premise, but precious little room for escapism. The song brings its cosmic perspective back down to Earth, confronting the possibility that nobody is coming to rescue us. If this planet is our only home, looking after it falls squarely on our shoulders. No intergalactic cavalry on the horizon, then.
Pauley’s vocals add weight and contrast to the Finnish band’s heavy attack, giving the collaboration a suitably forceful setting for its existential concerns. Beneath the cosmic imagery sits a very human subject: responsibility, and what we do with it when there is nobody else to blame.
“Into The Void” offers one last glimpse of Painstream before the full record arrives on 30 October via Century Media Records.
