A Dark Reborn Enter a New Era with an Explosive New Single and a Massive Step Forward in Sound

There are moments when a band stops sounding like “a promising project” and suddenly feels ready to break into a much bigger league. A Dark Reborn may have just reached that point.
The Spanish melodic death metal outfit have returned with a brand new single that feels like a statement of intent — sharper, heavier, more cinematic and infinitely more modern than anything the band has released before. Inspired by the classic Gothenburg sound of bands like In Flames and Dark Tranquillity, the track balances aggression and melody with an updated production approach that pushes the band into far more contemporary territory.
“This track comes from the need to capture the energy and emotion that made us fall in love with melodic death metal—while pushing it toward our own sound,” the band explains.
After spending last year touring across Europe alongside Ankor, A Dark Reborn return sounding reborn in every possible sense. The connection between both bands continues on this release, as the single’s music video was directed by Ankor guitarist David Romeu, whose visual style gives the track an even more dynamic and modern identity.
The song also marks the first recorded material featuring the band’s new guitarist following the departure of Thomas, opening a fresh chapter for the Girona-based act. Current members of A Dark Reborn are vocalist Lur Burns Red, drummer Saul Rosales, rhythm guitarist Denis Duran, bassist Ivan and the band’s new lead guitarist, Kevin Lozano.
What stands out immediately is the leap in production quality. The band still retains the melodic death metal foundations that shaped their earlier work, but this new material sounds bigger, more confident and genuinely international. The riffs hit harder, the melodies stay longer, and the overall sonic direction feels designed for much larger stages.
Recorded in The Mixtery studios (Cuenca, Spain) by Raúl Abellán and while currently presented as a standalone single, everything points toward the track becoming part of a future EP reportedly expected to contain between four and six songs — a release that could become a major turning point for the band if the rest of the material reaches this level.
A Dark Reborn always had the songwriting. Now they finally sound like a band ready to compete beyond the underground scene. If this single is any indication of what is coming next, they may be closer than ever to taking that next big step across Europe.
