Swedish hard-rock powerhouse Thundermother are set to capture their ferocious stage reputation on record with Live ’N’ Alive, their first official live album, scheduled for digital release on April 17, 2026 via Napalm Records. Physical editions will follow later in the year, giving fans multiple formats to experience what the band describe as their most authentic release yet.
Recorded across multiple shows during their 2025 tour cycle, the 19-track set functions as a live retrospective spanning their catalogue rather than documenting a single concert. The performances reflect the band’s actual setlist from that run, preserving the raw pacing and intensity of their shows without studio polishing.

A live album with zero studio tricks
According to guitarist and founder Filippa Nässil, authenticity was non-negotiable when assembling the release. She emphasized that there are no backing tracks, overdubs, or re-recorded parts — just the band exactly as heard onstage.
That philosophy fits the group’s long-standing reputation as a road-tested act known for relentless touring and festival appearances, including supporting Scorpions and performing at major events like Wacken Open Air.
The new single: Hellevator – Live in Huskvarna
As the latest preview of the album, the band recently released a live video for Hellevator – Live in Huskvarna, a turbocharged re-imagining of their 2016 standalone track captured during a November 2025 show in Sweden.
Nässil describes the song as pure fun and an ideal high-energy anthem, encouraging listeners to “stream it loud.” The performance showcases the group’s unfiltered chemistry and crowd interaction, reinforcing why their concerts have become a cornerstone of their identity.
A setlist spanning eras
The album pulls material from across the band’s discography, from early favorites to newer cuts from their 2025 studio release Dirty & Divine, which reached the Top 2 of Germany’s rock/metal charts. Highlights include live renditions of fan staples such as “Can You Feel It,” “Speaking of the Devil,” and Whatever, the latter recorded in Gothenburg and long a staple of their shows.
The tracklist also includes recordings from Cologne, Copenhagen, Huskvarna, and Gothenburg, emphasizing the album’s pan-European scope and giving it the feel of a tour diary in audio form.
Why this release matters
Although Thundermother have released six studio albums since forming in 2009, this marks their first official live LP — a milestone many fans have long anticipated. By capturing multiple concerts rather than one polished night, the band aim to document what they consider their true essence: loud, sweaty, and spontaneous rock ’n’ roll.
With Live ’N’ Alive, Thundermother aren’t just revisiting their catalogue — they’re bottling the electricity of their live show and delivering it straight to listeners’ speakers.
