Brixton has a date with Satan. Behemoth and Dimmu Borgir bring their In League With Satan co-headline tour to O2 Academy Brixton on Saturday 17 October, with Dark Funeral completing a formidable bill. It is the only UK stop on the European run, which kicks off in Zurich on 9 October.

The connection goes beyond the tour poster. Behemoth’s recent cover of Venom’s “In League With Satan” features Dimmu Borgir frontman Shagrath, bringing the two vocalists together on record ahead of their shared European dates. Whether that partnership makes it onto the Brixton stage remains to be seen, but the opportunity is certainly there.

Honouring Cronos and the Legacy of Venom

The connection now carries a much deeper significance following the death of Venom frontman Conrad “Cronos” Lant. With “In League With Satan” lending its name to the tour, and Behemoth’s version featuring Shagrath, this gathering of extreme metal heavyweights takes on an added emotional weight. If the two frontmen perform it together in London, it could become a powerful tribute to one of the musicians who helped make nights like this possible.

The song appears on I, Scvlptor, released on 4 September. An eight-track collection combining fresh material, re-recorded early songs, covers and a live recording, it follows Behemoth’s latest full studio album, The Shit Ov God. Released in May 2025 through Nuclear Blast and produced by Jens Bogren, that record gives Nergal and company plenty of recent ammunition alongside their established catalogue.

The serpent rises again

Dimmu Borgir arrive with Grand Serpent Rising, released on 22 May through Nuclear Blast. Their first studio album since 2018’s Eonian reunites them with Fredrik Nordström, the producer behind Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia and Death Cult Armageddon.

After eight years between albums, this tour offers a chance to hear a new chapter take shape onstage. With fresh material joining a catalogue built for theatrical excess, the Norwegian band’s symphonic grandeur should feel right at home beneath Brixton’s ceiling.

Dark Funeral also had a recent release of their own: A Beast To Praise, issued through Century Media on 21 August. Recorded at Fållan in Stockholm in 2022, the live album captures thirteen tracks and almost seventy minutes of the Swedish band in action.
